that prudent Society

May12

The Editors of TIME recently unleashed a tomb reflecting several dissertations around infamous secret societies. You needn’t spend your money. It’s really not worth your efforts. We fight them daily with truth and light, anyway.

Gather your wits around the understanding that the whole piece is full of the sort of stuff that is gratifying when read on its own. However, when one considers the scandalous absence of objective facts from the article and the degree to which that piece avoids historical relevance, the effect is somewhat more enraging than pleasing. To be sure fists must be shaken, it’s likely teeth are being gnashed in fury.

Those hapless fellows at TIME will never but scratch the surface – and, even that information is likely manipulated beyond their (and, certainly your own) collective grasp. Nonetheless, I’ll share, and while doing so, allow you to read something of an excerpt: The Secret Societies That Control The World.

There is also the Prudent Gentleman’s book of Rules to consider.

However, you might not be able to browse this link, because you don’t have access. So… You see… they, that insidious collective “they” control everything.

Nonetheless, take heart…

“For those of us who have ‘Eyes to see’,and ‘Ears to hear’. Their messages and symbols are everywhere .” – liberally from Genesis 3:22 and Revelation 3:22

“Histories are generally written about the men who prominently influence the events that make history;  little is written–though it might be of greater interest–about those shadowy figures who seem always to stand behind the men who make history. There are prudent yet optimistic gentlemen that lead the way.” – Manly P. Hall, a 33rd Degree (free) ‘Mason’

Guide yourselves accordingly. However, in the fateful event you can’t do so, rest assured that the Prudent and Optimistic Gentlemen stand watch. We lead by example, certainly defend the flag and the Constitution that it best represents, and will draw pistol or saber, figuratvely or literally, as change-agents united.

Meanwhile…

I am bound by the laws of God to direct your attention away from the official website of the Prudent yet Optimistic Gentlemen. However, we shall, cleverly redirect you to the official website of the SCP Foundation.  The Foundation is an extra-governmental initiative the sole purpose of which is to keep secure, contained, and protected those… things… that might prove to be hostile to established reality or irreconcilable therewith.  There are things the public is not meant to know.  There are things the pubic would not want to know.  There are even things the public already knows, but about which knowledge they are entirely ignorant, and it’s up to the men and women of the Foundation to keep them in that state of ignorance at all costs.

The SCP Wiki is a massive work of collaborative science fiction, chronicling the experiments, encounters, and – more often – disasters that attend the cutting edge of Science’s attempts to deal with the unexplained.  Most of the stuff there is inanimate, thankfully; odd widgets and items and machines and so on.  Some of it is animate.  Some of it is hostile.

This is the world in which you reside.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

shakespeare and quixote and life

May7

I haven’t been myself of late.

I’m going to die, and it’s hard understanding comprehending that.

All of which means that I am out of my element and doing a great deal of reading, almost none of it pleasant.  I have forced myself to make time to care about other things, and I’m disinclined to fiddle about even with leisurely pursuits, except when I simply can’t take it anymore. That’s when I run, and hard, like few mortal men are capable of.

Aside from that milestone, and considerations abounding what happens next, there is a lot happening in my life – and more or less importantly, in other people’s lives. And, I worry about all of them. It’s a self-imposed burden. I might also pause, here, and ponder if it might be self-evident, but others, will most certainly call it, now or later, self-indulgent. But, regardless of my legacy, be it evident today or tomorrow, I feel responsible – for everything and every body. Just so we are clear on the subjects, I don’t feel guilty about what’s been happening with Brett Michaels (the former lead singer for the 80’s “glam band” Poison), although the ecolological travesty unleashed upon us and the shorelines of  the Gulf Coast by British Petroleum has me on edge.

However, I see a glimmer of hope. Nearly four hundred years after the death of William Shakespeare (some called him Bard, while I know him as impish), scholars are ready to add a new play to his canon.

It’s true. You can read something about the events, unfolding by the hour, here.

The play is called Double Falsehood, or the Distressed Lovers and it’s believed, by the Prudent Gentlemen, anyway, that Shakespeare wrote the play, but found itself improved upon by, another dramatiste, John Fletcher, a Jacobean Playwright (The Jacobean era refers to the period in English and Scottish history that coincides with the reign of King James I (1603– 1625) of England, who was also James VI of Scotland.) who followed Shakespeare as official playwright for the King’s Men.

The play is apparently based on an earlier work by Shakespeare, based on an episode from Cervantes’ classic Don Quixote. Rest assured, this is naught less than a cause celebre for the Prudent Gentlemen, and an object de gravitas for myself. Consider my passion for Quixote, here: tilting don quixote.

“Double Falsehood has thrills, spills, sword fights, violent sexual assault and to, most modern ears, the potential for a terrible ending.”

I’ll trust that Haley Anne and Emma Jo will read these words, perhaps one day. Without the eye-rolls I suffer today, the effort that is Double Falsehood, will be evaluated, with conviction, remembering the face of their father, and perhaps with fondness over his keen sense of proprieties.

Anyway, whenever it is, I’ll surely await its coming with unseemly interest.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

unacceptable

May5

We continue to evaluate the Apple iPad and it’s best applications for our business and that of our hearty and ferocious partners.

Obviously Voice of Internet Protocol (VOIP) is an emerging must – especially when it comes to global business strategies and tactical realities. This makes SKYPE a careful focus for my team.

It should be noted that, here, in the United States, AT&T originally prohibited VOIP applications from using the cellular network. However, under pressure from Optimistic Gentlemen, in October 2009 AT&T announced iPhone VOIP applications were now acceptable on its network. Unfortunately, this acceptance does not, it turns out, extend to the iPad 3G, even if customers buy the same $30/month unlimited data plan available for iPhone 3G/3GS use.

Thusly, it’s war, or something akin to it, then – and, we’ll begin with commerce..

This is after all, the ideal challenge for Prudent but Optimistic Gentlemen. We must champion the solution and strike fear in the hearts of purveyors of the problem.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

the secret series: in pursuit of They

March16

We may, and finally, have a clue as to whom “they” are. “They”, of course, being that shadowy and uncertain collective that is assigned, or assigns, every uncertain dictum.

We know they are part of “the plan”. We don’t know if the plan is managed, if you will, by the “smoking rabbit”, or that damn black dog with a pipe.

We are unclear if they and the plan can be defined under “good” or “evil”. We don’t know if this is the final stage set for the epic battle promised around “good vs. evil”.

We understand it involves a “secret”. And, the secret is also the “key” to, well, “everything” (often referred to by thirteen year olds as the obvious).

But, this is what we’ve uncovered – a (potentially) significant clue that has us all rather excited – and, worked-up:

Featured Article | SCP-055 – (unknown)

“The self-keeping secret. Nobody knows what it is, nobody knows what it does. Anyone who sees it forgets about it entirely in the space of minutes. It may have killed hundreds of people, or it may have been placed by an outside force to invisibly monitor the Foundation or humanity…. and nobody would know.”

Look for the full article, based on our joint research, to be revealed by the end of the week. That is of course, if we can remember to do so. Or, survive what is likely to be an imminent attack from “them”.

NOTE: More about this later, we hope.

Don’t be unnerved. Be aware. Or, perhaps just Beware. It’s what you don’t see that can kill you.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
