Brian Patrick Cork is living the Authentic Life

remembering Patricia Neal

August9

Husky throated Patricia Neal took her last breath on Martha’s Vineyard.

But, long before she did that she managed to live life akin to a Greek tragedy. This included a series of strokes beginning at age thirty nine and the loss of a seven year old daughter to measles. However, she also inspired many with her courage and keen sense of community.

But, she also had the female lead, opposite Gary Cooper, in the 1949 film version of Ayn Rand’s novel “The Fountainhead,” and was the original Mother on the Waltons.

As many readers of this blog are well aware, Ayn Rand shaped my early life both in business and outside of it. And, I spent many an hour between college classes at Radford University and varsity sports watching The Waltons. So, that help reinforce some of my views as well. In fact, many of my fellows within the Prudent Society of Optimistic Gentlemen share that same foundation.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

that prudent Society

May12

The Editors of TIME recently unleashed a tomb reflecting several dissertations around infamous secret societies. You needn’t spend your money. It’s really not worth your efforts. We fight them daily with truth and light, anyway.

Gather your wits around the understanding that the whole piece is full of the sort of stuff that is gratifying when read on its own. However, when one considers the scandalous absence of objective facts from the article and the degree to which that piece avoids historical relevance, the effect is somewhat more enraging than pleasing. To be sure fists must be shaken, it’s likely teeth are being gnashed in fury.

Those hapless fellows at TIME will never but scratch the surface – and, even that information is likely manipulated beyond their (and, certainly your own) collective grasp. Nonetheless, I’ll share, and while doing so, allow you to read something of an excerpt: The Secret Societies That Control The World.

There is also the Prudent Gentleman’s book of Rules to consider.

However, you might not be able to browse this link, because you don’t have access. So… You see… they, that insidious collective “they” control everything.

Nonetheless, take heart…

“For those of us who have ‘Eyes to see’,and ‘Ears to hear’. Their messages and symbols are everywhere .” – liberally from Genesis 3:22 and Revelation 3:22

“Histories are generally written about the men who prominently influence the events that make history;  little is written–though it might be of greater interest–about those shadowy figures who seem always to stand behind the men who make history. There are prudent yet optimistic gentlemen that lead the way.” – Manly P. Hall, a 33rd Degree (free) ‘Mason’

Guide yourselves accordingly. However, in the fateful event you can’t do so, rest assured that the Prudent and Optimistic Gentlemen stand watch. We lead by example, certainly defend the flag and the Constitution that it best represents, and will draw pistol or saber, figuratvely or literally, as change-agents united.

Meanwhile…

I am bound by the laws of God to direct your attention away from the official website of the Prudent yet Optimistic Gentlemen. However, we shall, cleverly redirect you to the official website of the SCP Foundation.  The Foundation is an extra-governmental initiative the sole purpose of which is to keep secure, contained, and protected those… things… that might prove to be hostile to established reality or irreconcilable therewith.  There are things the public is not meant to know.  There are things the pubic would not want to know.  There are even things the public already knows, but about which knowledge they are entirely ignorant, and it’s up to the men and women of the Foundation to keep them in that state of ignorance at all costs.

The SCP Wiki is a massive work of collaborative science fiction, chronicling the experiments, encounters, and – more often – disasters that attend the cutting edge of Science’s attempts to deal with the unexplained.  Most of the stuff there is inanimate, thankfully; odd widgets and items and machines and so on.  Some of it is animate.  Some of it is hostile.

This is the world in which you reside.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

unacceptable

May5

We continue to evaluate the Apple iPad and it’s best applications for our business and that of our hearty and ferocious partners.

Obviously Voice of Internet Protocol (VOIP) is an emerging must – especially when it comes to global business strategies and tactical realities. This makes SKYPE a careful focus for my team.

It should be noted that, here, in the United States, AT&T originally prohibited VOIP applications from using the cellular network. However, under pressure from Optimistic Gentlemen, in October 2009 AT&T announced iPhone VOIP applications were now acceptable on its network. Unfortunately, this acceptance does not, it turns out, extend to the iPad 3G, even if customers buy the same $30/month unlimited data plan available for iPhone 3G/3GS use.

Thusly, it’s war, or something akin to it, then – and, we’ll begin with commerce..

This is after all, the ideal challenge for Prudent but Optimistic Gentlemen. We must champion the solution and strike fear in the hearts of purveyors of the problem.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

buy this

April27

I Saw a fellow in the streets of New York wearing a t-shirt with: “Guantanamo Bay, Camp Delta” on it.

There was no joke. No ironic statement. No political message. Just the name of a prison camp where people are being held without trial by a government that considers itself accountable to nobody.

This is where we’re at now (today – God only knows what tomorrow will bring); tyranny marketed as casualwear.

And people are buying it, literally.

An the irony, in it’s finest form, here, will be realized when, or if, a Fair Tax kicks in.

I’m all for Fair Tax, mind you. I also appreciate irony. I’m not quite so keen on tyranny. That’s the Prudent but Optimistic Gentleman in me.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
