clarification: Original Sin
Shortly after Daniel Florien explains (apparently one of many reasons) why he discarded Christianity on his own Blog Unreasonable Faith, Teleprompter, in a Comment, offered a exhibitive rare explanation for Original Sin:
[Original Sin is like] a parent leaving a hot stove on, not telling the child that it’s dangerous, and then smacking the child for hurting themselves.
And then cursing all of those child’s children for all time…

Two immediate thoughts…
Although I, myself, don’t pretend to be a Christian, I can’t see the point in discarding Christianity. Assuming God is GOD (and, I do), He makes the rules (and enforces them through measures, that might include, Natural Selection).
But, if (at least some) Christians view God’s position on sin as Telepromper does, then we have a chance at understanding the angst.
