how do You define Redemption?
so…
last week I posited this on Linkedin:
Brian Patrick Cork: “what if redemption isn’t realized by some form of vindication (that is based on our limited perception), but by a life-time of contribution that becomes our legacy? how do we look back on our days on this earth with satisfaction? how will future generations describe us as individuals?”
that evidently caught Jay Beckner’s attention.

my first response to Jay was, “what if part of the answer includes hope? also, having a cause, such as finishing well? perhaps, having someone to love that inspires us to be an example, or by example?”
meanwhile… the plot thickens with additional thinking from non-other than Glen Hobbs, himself:
Brian Cork – Obed Edom
“2 Sam 6:12 “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that belonged to him, because of the ark of God”.
Obed-Edom looked after the ark for three months when the Israelites were scared to move it further. everything around Obed-edom prospered while the ark was in his home.
the ark represented the presence of God. that was the Old Testament. Now, under the new covenant, we who are believers are indwelt (literally “fused”) with the very presence of God (John 14:16-17, 16:7, Acts 1:4, 1 Corinthians 3:16). that means wherever we go, we now carry His presence.
“Brian, as I was thinking about all that you are doing, it struck me that you bring favor and prosperity into situations you step into, because you carry His presence, and He has gifted you. It affects not only your own businesses, but those with whom you come in contact. Because of His presence in you, and your presence with them, their businesses will prosper. The blessing in your life will overflow into theirs.” -Glenn
So… Jay… Here might be the answer to your own question:
Genesis 30:27 “The Lord blessed me because of you”.
UPDATE:
not to be outdone, or a good friend, for thaat matter, Chip Brackley offerd this sobering posit:
“Let’s talk about it. I think it does and you are right to be careful around how you view yourself in regards to this. This is not something you can take lightly and there needs to be a healthy “fear” or reverence around this. There is a reason Obed Edom was given the Ark in the first place. Read the chapter before to see why he got it and let’s try and figure out what that means in all of this as well.”
more later, I’m confident.
peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.
