pissing the planet Off

Mysterious death of 500 fish in German lake blamed on urinating swimmers.

that’s a world-wide headline that resulted from urinating swimmers blamed for the death of 500 Carp (fish) in Northern Germany’s Eichbaum lake.

the cause of death was apparently (I refuse to use the word, evidently) increased phosphate and algae production that dropped oxygen-levels in the sizable lake. so, ironically, the fish died of asphyxiation. this essentially means water-breathing creatures drowned due to a lack of oxygen while submerged.

…that’s how my mind works. and, yes, I do, and often, feel quite lonely over here. rather along the lines of relative thinking, which follows the view of the Heterodox and the Authentic Life.

…talk about “global warming”.

this might really piss people off. but, the fish were only carp. so, there were a lot of dead carp floating around – which is better than a bunch other stuff floating around with the same letters, and numbers of letters, but in a different order.

all that said, I’ll circle-back to global warming. if one hundred swimmers in a lake can create that much phosphate, create algae, and upend an entire lakes ecosystem, what is happening around the rest of the planet?

and, this is why I prefer surfing in the ocean than boating on a lake.

peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

being Objectified

The League of Optimistic Snowmen Gather for a Global Warming Conference - but NOT in Alpharetta

Everybody need not be viewed as a thing. They just can be.

I’ll submit this because everyone, just like every thing, has a story.

Hold up a glass, any glass, really, in one hand. Put your other hand on the shoulder of a fellow. Any good man will do. Consider that both can be objectified – yet, both have stories.

There is always a story. Certainly a history.

Not everyone, nor every thing, is what it might seem.

The best objective, then, is sorting out how to read them.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
