shadowy groups known as, THEY, GOVERNMENT and WALL STREET

March20

have you paused when someone invokes the amorphous “they” in a conversation, or lecture? as in, “you know what they say”.

they are insidious. the word, the interlopers, it’s pervasive nature unto itself…

consider these other musings, of my own…

dire Warnings, indeed

the secret series: in pursuit of They

that word is broadly used around almost anything uncertain, sort of like almost any reference to government and Wall Street.

it’s probably worse with government, especially when it’s invoked as, “the government”. such bodies are meant to be form or function, not an end-all reference as if it’s the best or only example.

here is how we can tie it all together to make you feel really uncomfortable:

“they say the government controls Wall Street”.

or,

“they say the government is a helpless pawn of Wall Street”.

so… can you name the dude, bloke, puppet-master that actually runs the government? whom is actually in-charge of Wall Street? how is the ultimate decision made? is it all in the hands or at the feet of a shadowy group of old men, or smoking rabbits? or, is it really about a black pipe-smoking dog?  where do they get their training? are they actually Muslim youth Soccer coaches? don’t they actually have the most influence? what if Atlas really is shrugging?

peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

there are no mistakes every day

August6

the worst mistake you can make is the one you repeat.

let’s ask ourselves, and daily:

“are we using our superpowers for good, and with purpose and intention?”

do it!

peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

all you need to know is what others use

December27

Christmas has come-and-gone. However, what remains are on-going decisions relative to technology acquisitions.

Is it a new computer, or the iPad?

That’s simply short-term thinking around new toys.

However, here, yes right here, is is your peek into the reality relative to what’s to come (this will be affecting trends, and the stock market)…

At some point, workers – such as journalists and accountants, will remain tethered to PC’s (the generic terms for desktop or laptop computers) because they create some and various forms of information, while decision makers – like executives, will primarily use mobile technology represented by iPads and Tablets because they mostly care about information, and the leveraging of it (they use information).

So… who’s leading this trend? Follow the money. Then think in terms of convergence.

Soon… Look for my continued thinking around “video anywhere”, “Apple”, “Fiber”, “Data Centers”, and “Venture Capital”.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

meaningful vision

July27

I have the coolest job calling in the world.

I hang out all day with my friends helping them make better decisions.

I hear a lot of fantasy, dreams and visions.

And, there is a vital difference. And, it’s a simple differentiator…

You can pull-off a vision.

It’s just that more people will be satisfied, in some form by the dream, while others can act on the vision.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
