“I’ve never had major knee surgery on any other part of my body.”
– Winston Bennett, University of Kentucky basketball forward.
Widely believed to be a cousin of former Miss Kentucky Betty “pickles” Merlotte, and a worthy suitor for Heather Whitestone, 1995’s Miss USA.
So… There’s a good many (fairly reputable) meat packing companies in Alabama and Kentucky. If all went in accordance with Laws of Natural Selection, Alpo could realize a much cheaper supply of low-range beef. The various beauty contests and oxymoronic college sporting events might be an ingenious way to herd the poor creatures (God’s all, certainly) into one area for easier identification and tagging.
Or,
We can also consider a breeding program for the United States Army Corp of Live Shooting Targets (USACLST)…
“We don’t necessarily discriminate. We simply exclude certain types of people.”
– Colonel Gerald Wellman, ROTC Instructor.
Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

shut up.
I had meetings all day yesterday. But, I was getting plenty of text messages and (cat) calls keeping me up to date with the score.
thanks.
…If I get one more question about:
“what happened to the Highlanders”?
So… The mental image I get is a troop of Girl Scouts being gang-raped by a Jamaican Drug Posse.
And, North Carolina’s best player, Ty Laughlin, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year, had to sit out with a boo boo (oft injured toe).
President Barack Obama has predicted that North Carolina will finish as National Champions. So, I guess it can be argued that the Tarheels are following an Executive Order.
I hope they win it all. Obama needs the credibility right now.
All this said… I am proud of Radford University, it’s winning basketball program, and the future potential for all involved.
Get ready to “Dread the Red” in 2010.

Radford University is dancing again.
NCAA Basketball Tournament action!
It’s Radford (I submit to you, 9100 Jeffersonian’s in the making, all) Vs. North Carolina (29,000 student population), at Greensboro, NC, Thursday, March 19, at 2:30pm.
Not enough have heard of Radford. Certainly not as many that know about North Carolina.
The odds are 16 to 1 against Radford.
Light it up! Dread the Red.
Look around yourselves in the coming days. Find Radford graduates; hug their parents. Seek them out. You will not regret it.
Statistically, you will find a disproportionate amount of them in leadership positions (many entrepreneurs and “king-makers”). We are a hardy and ferocious lot (got that from Nick).
Offer them a hearty “Go Highlanders!” – and certainly a cold brew to fuel the flames of destiny.
