1490
The insidious “They” (possibly inspired by the Smoking Rabbit as introduced by Nick Milne) ponder:
“If a trees falls in a forest, and no one is present to witness, does the fall yet make a sound”?
If we fail to use an apostrophe properly, and neither the writer or the readers knows any better, does it matter?
Probably. But, maybe because it’s a rule that makes everything consistent and better. And, ignorance is eventually reduced.
And, by the way… I believe the noise from a falling tree can be evidenced through the use of technology such as audio and video.
all of this makes about as much sense as the code “1490” which means in some military parlance: uncertain information.
Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.
