pain only hurts

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute; an hour; a day; or, a year.

But, eventually, it will subside and something else will take it’s place.

If I quit, however, it lasts forever.

It’s the fear of the pain that is the mind killer. Fear creates defeat before victory can have a chance.

We must all face our fears; and, do it any way.

Bold and fearless.

This is a difference between champions, and them other fellas.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

Radford University’s Track & Field team will be competing at Georgia Tech this weekend, just thought I would throw you a heads up.

    Thanks Matt.

    Go Highlanders.

I will be in Columbus, Georgia this weekend with my daughter for the Georgia soccer State Cup Championships. I coach, and she makes me look good.

I heard the Radford women’s soccer team won conference again this year. Maybe a few of my Shockers (Mighty Tigers All) will be “Lady Highlanders” one day.

    Keep me in the loop.

You said “pain is temporary…but if I quit, it lasts forever”. There is great wisdom there my friend. Winston Churchill is credited with this well-known quote saying…if you’re going through hell, keep on going. Now therein lies the wise man’s navigate…no? I have been “going through” now for five years…I must say its the “going thru” that gets me through! lol

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? Ezekial 22:14.

So we are left, at times to just…deal with it. What’s the purpose, is there one? One day we shall know, one day my friend.

    Blessings, JC

Good wisdom is easy to dispense once it learned the hard way.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
