tests are simple character is not

when we face the simplest (not necessarily the easiest) of tests, and lose against all odds, it has to be God’s will.

at that moment, I must recall the face of my father; and, he knows the truth.

then the best test is that of character.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters

“tests are simple character is not”

God’s will, in my view, is actually quite simple. His desire is for us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. He wants us to love our neighbor as ourselves. He wants us to share His love and the story of redemption through Christ to everyone.

Everything else either takes us away from that or drives us towards that. It’s all up to us. God can always choose to intervene and do something miraculous or totally normal, but His will never changes. If we align with His will, then He is pleased, and I believe that we likely will be also.

That would take me back to the gift of discernment.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
