Coming Back and Leaning Forward
I have laid off of this Blog for over a month because I needed to focus my attention and effort on two critical issues.
The first is backing and making good on my message to the people of Berkeley, California/1. I don’t take my position lightly, and remain determined to walk my talk. There is both a cost and an investment in making a stand like this.
I don’t regret any of it. I am not overly proud either. I am, perhaps, grimly satisfied.
Meanwhile, I have also been distracted by a friend who needs my help. He cheated on his wife – and, stole from my family. He is spiraling out of control. She threw him out. I can’t.
He needs me more now than ever. He is, after all, my friend.
I am in anguish.
I am deeply flawed. Forgiveness is so hard! This later exercise is one of the toughest challenges I have ever faced. This too requires cost and investment. The effort is worthy I suppose. But, I understand I will realize no satisfaction. Another kind of grim prospect.
During all of this I have kept thinking of (yet another) thing my Grandad used to say… “Keep leaning forward”.
It works.
Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.
