selfless acts of Commerce
In a totally selfless bid to reboot the economy I handed over some cash for brand new Apple iPads and Google Nexus One (android platform) cellular telephones for my entire organization.
The Nexus One handsets are now designated: “iOne’s” (see Macberry) because my will is more formidable than that of Mr. Jobs. He can call me again if he likes. I’ll fight him.
We already know we’ll switch back to iPhones (and steve does as well), because we always do… It’s just that we’re a hearty and ferocious band of pioneers. This might also remain in keeping with the views of the Heterodox. Also, for the moment, the iOne is our best bet for a mobile WiFi setup for the iPads (the next generation iPhone will have the capability. So, we’ll end up donating the iOne’s to a Ministry or school). I understand we could always go with a Verizon MiFi unit. But, what’s the point? That’s more stuff to carry about. Mind you… If you go Verizon, you’ve totally sold-out to “the man”, and gone all corporate.
And, the iOne/ iPad combination is rather wicked-cool.
It’s gear, dammit.
Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.
