Brian Patrick Cork is living the Authentic Life

say rhymes with way

June5

This afternoon I visited Hibachi, a local eatery, and I had the misfortune of overhearing a conversation where some boisterous lout berating someone (let’s assume his soon-to-be ex-wife) loudly, mind you, over a cellular telephone (for the sake of this post lets also assume the service provider is T-Mobile, but I won’t say why).

While waiting for my scallops and rice, I found myself pointedly observing this hapless fellow for several reasons…

He was ugly, loud and obnoxious (and probably smelly) all while being unmindful of his fellow patrons.

One of the (many) annoying things he said was:

“If I never hear from you again, it will be to soon – you #@&*%”.

It occurred to me, first of all, that way rhymes with say. But, that has no readily obvious meaning to this Blog post – it’s just how my mind doesn’t work.

Next I started thinking that he should have said:

“If I ever hear from you again, it will be too soon”.

I suppose I might also add it’s not righteous to call any woman a name like that (even if your woman is a guy, or even really ugly. And, my impression of him generated the likelyhood of both).

But, this is me sticking with an emphasis on grammar.

I suppose, in the end, it’s always how you say it.

In closing, and possibly taking the position that he was speaking to his wife, who might not be male, it’s strikes me as unfortunate that people like this are allowed to breed, and then brings into focus, just because it might be controversial to do so, Charles Darwin.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
