Apple In Perspective

December22

So… I think Apple is probably a $250 stock.

To put Apple’s iPhone success into perspective, it took 22 quarters for BlackBerry to ship over 1 million units in a single quarter.  On the other hand, Apple accomplished this notable milestone in its first FULL quarter with only one carrier, AT&T, in the United States. /1

Yes… We own Apple stock.  And, we have been Apple Evangelists since 1985.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

Mindless and irresponsible naysayers like Scott Mortiz of theStreet.com tried to discredit Apple in the early months citing lower than projected sales. However, they neglected to mention the first Quarter sales only represented approximately 6 weeks – and, Apple still almost blew through 1 million units.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
