The Media Vs. The People

December11

The Vietnam war was not lost in Vietnam — it was lost at home.

The exact same slippery slope, sponsored by the US media, is currently well underway with regards to Afghanistan and Iraq.

This is insidious – and, an abuse of free speech and freedom of the press. The driving doctrine of these rights was a foundation of “do no harm”. There is currently no way to hold the media accountable – they don’t actually police themselves other than reader and viewer statistics that exist to drive profits. Thus, much of their focus is the creation of controversy.

The media will accuse politicians of “spinning” the truth. Ironically, the media often leads the chaos of disinformation. If we see it on the news or read about it in the press, we assume its the truth. Worse, we allow it to slide out of our consciousness.

The pen can only be mightier than the sword when it represents truth and justice.

My intent here is to expose the enormous power of a biased media to cut out the heart and will of the American public.

If I am taken out by a white van while on one of my runs in the next couple of weeks, I hope all of you remember that I love you very much. /1

This topic will be covered in greater detail in my forthcoming book “What Would Thomas Jefferson Say”.

Peace be to my Brothers and Sisters.

Out of fairness, it should be noted that, throughout Alpharetta, there are an unusually high number of white mini vans and SUVs piloted by women with bleach blond hair with cellular telephones stuck to their ears obliviously running cyclists and runners off roads (and, yes, side walks) daily.

What’s All This About?

"What am I looking at?", you might wonder.

Lots of stuff.

Meanwhile, here, I discuss events, people and things in our world - and, my (hardly simplistic, albeit inarticulate) views around them.

You'll also learn things about, well, things, like people you need to know about, and information about companies you can't find anywhere else.

So, while I harangue the public in my not so gentle way, you will discover that I am fascinated by all things arcane, curious about those whom appear religious, love music, dabble in politics, loathe the media, value education, still think I am an athlete, and might offer a recipe.

All the while, striving mightily, and daily, to remain a prudent and optimistic gentleman - and, authentic.
